DSO Nano battery replacement
My DSO Nano's battery became weak after years of running this oscilloscope. I decided to post a process of battery replacement because I came across a problem during this process.
First you will need to peel off the front plate. The easiest way is to start doing this on the corner. The least damage will be done if you try to pull it off with your nails or a special tool set which is basically used for replacing mobile phone's screen. Just follow steps below.
peel off the screen plate.
unscrew 6 screws
Read important note in step 5!
disassemble further if needed. Basically you don't need to unscrew these screws because you can access the battery by lifting an LCD.
Originally the wire colors was reversed - positive wire was BLACK and negative was RED. I swapped those wires myself to avoid misunderstanding when plugging the battery.
original socket was cut off since new battery's plug didn't match. After I soldered a pin socket to the battery side and pin header to the main unit's side.
a new battery inserted.
Original battery specs:
3.7V Lithium 500mA, 353545
